Phacelia bolanderi & Field Notebooks
Matt Guilliams, a Baldwin labmate, collected a specimen of Phacelia bolanderi A. Gray from the UC Berkeley Botanic Garden, and let me have the discarded stem after identification. It is probably the same accession I sampled in my thesis [UCBG 61.0093], with permission from Holly Forbes [curator]. Hello old friend in a new season! The UC Berkeley Botanic Garden has been in amazing bloom throughout all of their collections this entire spring, and there are amazing plants coming in flower and form every time I go up there. A tremendous resource for research and a beautiful place to walk anytime.
